Some weddings are extra special—not just for the setting or the styling, but for the people at the heart of it. Lisa’s winter wedding at Grantley Hall was exactly that. A truly magical day for someone who has been a customer and friend for many years.
If you’re local to the area, you may know Lisa as the passionate owner of 1066 Delicatessen and Bakery, a much-loved spot known for its amazing food and warm community spirit. We’ve shared coffees, laughs, and ideas over the years, so when Lisa asked us to be part of her wedding day, we were truly honoured.
The Venue: Grantley Hall in Winter
Set in the Yorkshire countryside near Ripon, Grantley Hall is breathtaking at any time of year—but winter gives it an extra touch of magic especially on such a crisp sunny winters day as this one was. The grandeur of Grantley, with its blend of historic charm and modern luxury, was the perfect backdrop for Lisa and her husband’s day.
Bringing the Season to Life with Flowers
For Lisa, we wanted the flowers to reflect her personality—elegant, joyful, and full of heart. We created lush, seasonal arrangements in ivory and soft greens, letting the natural beauty of winter foliage lead the way.
There were roses, spray roses, anemones, hellebores, muscari, viburnum berries, and touches of eucalyptus and olive. The look was timeless, elegant, and romantic—perfect for a celebration that felt both personal and luxurious.
The tablescapes were dressed with candlelight, delicate blooms in glass vases, and organic textures that made the whole space feel warm, welcoming, and beautifully intimate.
Laughter, Love, and a Few Happy Tears
One of the most touching moments of the day was captured so beautifully by Joe Dodsworth, who we absolutely love working with. His documentary style and natural warmth put everyone at ease—and the results speak for themselves. He captured every laugh, every sparkle of candlelight, and every tear during the speeches.
We especially love the photo of Lisa sharing a moment with a guest, reading aloud through laughter—it's moments like that which remind us why weddings are so special.
A Day to Remember
Lisa’s wedding was more than a job—it was a joy. It was about celebrating someone we care about, in a place full of beauty, surrounded by love and laughter. Being part of her day at Grantley Hall was something we won’t forget.
