A Regal Romance...

A Regal Romance: Wedding Flower Inspiration at Harewood House, Yorkshire

When it comes to dream wedding venues, few places capture the imagination quite like Harewood House - just 10 minutes from our workshop. Steeped in history, framed by sweeping gardens, and rich in grandeur, this 18th-century stately home offered the perfect canvas for our recent wedding flower photo shoot.

Our goal was simple yet ambitious: to design florals that echoed the elegance of Harewood’s interiors while bringing a fresh, romantic energy for couples envisioning their big day at this remarkable location.

Setting the Scene: Inside Harewood House

Harewood House is breathtaking from the moment you arrive—but it’s the interiors that truly tell a story of timeless luxury. We staged our shoot in some of the house’s most iconic rooms, where gilt-framed portraits, antique chandeliers, and deep red drapery formed a regal backdrop to our floral designs.

Every arrangement was tailored to complement the space: bold yet soft, dramatic yet refined. The result was a delicate harmony between nature’s wild beauty and the opulence of historical architecture.

Harewood House State Dining Room

Floral Design: Romance in Bloom

Our centerpiece tablescape was created to inspire awe—ideal for a wedding breakfast in Harewood Houses state dining room. A sea of tapered candles, crystal glassware, and lush seasonal blooms in rich reds, blush pinks, and deep greens filled the table. Roses, ranunculus, anemones, and trailing foliage brought the design to life, creating an immersive experience that felt as much a part of the house as the ornate frames on the walls.

Every detail was considered—from the napkins tied with ribbon to the low candlelight that danced across gold accents and polished silverware. It was a visual love letter to intimacy, elegance, and celebration.

A Ceremony Fit for Royalty

In the breathtaking Gallery, we staged a wedding ceremony setup that felt both romantic and grand. Positioned beneath intricate gold cornices and against Harewood’s classical wall motifs, we created a natural floral altar with tall urns, flowering columns, and layered arrangements. The palette mirrored our tablescape: deep pinks, soft whites, verdant greens—with textures and movement to bring a sense of the outdoors in.
