A sumptuous romantic feel at The Yorke Arms, Pateley Bridge.

Sadie and James wed on the 4th June 2021 in glorious sunshine against the most romantic backdrop.

The brief was romantic and floaty in pale pinks, blues and creams…super super pretty!

With the covid restrictions still in place and a maximum number of guests capped at 30, Sadie wanted to go all out on the florals and have a huge WOW factor think ‘outside, in!’

The venues were St Mary’s Church in Ramsgill, a picture perfect village church with the most amazing doorway followed by the reception at The Yorke Arms. A wonderful Shades marquee in the garden. All of it was just breathtakingly beautiful.

For Sadie’s bouquet we created a beautiful hand tied bouquet centred around a full, juicy seasonal scented peonies complimented with the heavenly scented Ohara roses, the sweetest smelling sweet peas, delphinium, nigella, tuberose and touches of white thistle. A nod to the grooms buttonhole. All bound in the prettiest silk ribbon from Bertie & Fred.

For the bridesmaids we created similar but smaller versions of the bridal. These were centred round a crisp hydrangea. The groom wore a cream rose with a touch of white thistle all tied with beautiful silk ribbon.

For the ceremony Sadie & James wanted to fill the church with the scent of a summer garden. They wanted stunning florals to frame the alter and line the aisles. We used clear vases of varying heights filed with the greenest greenery and scented florals to create the meadow for the aisles. All the blooms complimented the bridal bouquet and smelt heavenly. Stood proudly at the end of the aisle (next to the groom!) was the imposing urn, filled with vast amount of greenery and scented blooms.

The picture perfect doorway featured our asymmetric arch full of hydrangea and delphinium…it was created to feel like it had always been there.

The marquee was strung with greenery garlands of pistache and ivy with trees and plant dotted around to bring the nature in to the marquee in varying levels.

The beautiful table was set with in amazing whites and blues finished off with masses of low florals which like the church complimented the bridal blooms. Finished off with votives and candles in the palest pinks, blues and creams. A single rose stem on each place setting.

After a year away from being able to create these stunning backdrops it felt good to be back…and back with a BANG!

Thank you so much Sadie & James for choosing Team Leafy to bring your vision to life! What an honour to be involved in such a special day.
